Tian Wenhua's life sentence for the melamine-laced milk poisonings of several infants has been upheld by a Chinese appeals court. Likewise the death sentences of Zhang Yujun and Geng Jinping, and the life imprisonment sentences Zhang Yanzhang and Geng Jinping.
I'm no supporter of the death penalty, but I find these sentences more palatable, and more befitting the crime, than a mere corporate fine, no matter how whopping.
