Confused about shopping?  About incorporating not only health and safety data, but also environmental and social impacts into your consumer decisions?  The GoodGuide, a new online consumer guide, aims to make "engaged" shopping a little easier.  (If you haven't yet read Kelsey's blog on the subject, you should.)

The GoodGuide rates a growing number of food, personal care, household and toy products on over 600 criteria, including factors that affect consumers, like safety and nutritional content, as well as a product's impacts on the environment, on workers, and the community in which a product is made.  Give it a look--it may save you time and angst the next time you're in the grocery store.

Thanks for the great link.  Another good resource is the Better World Shopping Guide by Ellis Jones; it fits in your back pocket.
