The city of Delhi is about to outlaw the use polythene bags of any thickness. After years spent battling the constant accumulation of bags in gutters, where they serve as breeding grounds for malaria, and the stomachs of sacred cows, where they serve to gradually starve the cows to death, Delhi has declared all-out war. The ban will be implemented in phases, giving citizens time to grow accustomed to shopping with their own Bags for Life.
