In advance of President Obama's visit to Canada, a broad coalition of advocacy groups has written an open letter to the Canadian prime minister.
The letter calls on Stephen Harper to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), citing growing inequality within the free nation signatories and also the constraints Nafta placed on public policymaking.
During the primary election Barack Obama had indicated that Nafta was not good for America and that he might seek to renegotiate it.
