NASA Climatologist Jim Hansen says that President Elect Obama has four years to save the earth. That is, he must act in his first term and not wait until his second to ensure that climate-protecting legislation is enacted. More than anything this means that enormous pressure will have to be put on Congress to help Obama save the planet, because, after all, he's not a superhero, he's just a President, and as such can accomplish nothing without Congress.
