After a year of food-related health scares, China is setting up a powerful national policy setter to review the country's food monitoring system.
According to ChinaCSR, the new body will work at a macro level "on the study of China's macro food safety strategies and the division of responsibilities in times of emergency".
There will be no food industry representation in the commission.
